Alexia Betances is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Alexia has been in the field of social work for four years, starting her journey in case management and working her way up to a clinical role. Alexia has a passion for supporting children, adolescents and families, as well as advocating for mental health. Currently, Alexia is a co-located therapist at Drug Abuse Treatment Association stationed at William T Dwyer High School. Alexia also serves on the NASW Palm Beach Steering Committee and as a Board of Director for Champions Empowering Champions. Alexia has experience working in substance use and mental health, with a variety of clientele from substance exposed babies to adults. Alexia is certified in Mental Health First Aid. Alexia is currently working on getting certified in Play Therapy and EMDR.
