Champions Empowering Champions received top honors at the 2019 FAU Tech Runway® Launch Competition
We are excited to announce that Champions Empowering Champions was among the 8 organizations selected from more than 170 local promising startups and talented entrepreneurs to receive funding from the 2019 FAU Tech Runway® Launch Competition! In addition to an investment award of $15,000, we will receive working space at FAU Tech Runway®, skills training, and expert business mentoring.
This award is especially significant as awards from the FAU Tech Runway® Launch Competitions typically go to for-profit startup companies. This year, the Fleisher Family Foundation provided the first ever multi-year gift to support the top non-profit startup in the Launch Competition. Bruce Fleisher commented, “Champions Empowering Champions had the most compelling program and I wanted to ensure they received the support and recognition they deserved.”

We are honored to be the first non-profit funded by the generosity of the Fleisher Family Foundation.” said Kim Dunn, Executive Director of Champions Empowering Champions. “I am confident that participating in FAU Tech Runway® Venture Class 7 will enable us to provide enhanced programming for under-served college students.” Over the next year, we will complete a rigorous 5-week “I-Corps” training module and a 12-session course focused on development, fundraising, and other areas critical to our success.
